MAN

I hate to admit it, but I haven't been too impressed ( except for footwear) by the f/w shows.. I don't know why, but I have not. I was quite disappointed actually. Til now I haven't seen one amazing-spectacular-throw your hat in the air- show for womanswear. So, I was like ," what's happening with the menswear? Is it the same situation?"The answer is no, it's not ! The hugely successful partnership between Fashion East founder Lulu Kennedy and Topman was in fact amazing- spectacular- throw your hat in the air ! Guess who is going to be sneaking in Topman pretending to be buying a present for the boyf.. hehehe..*(evil laugh)..The sad news is that MAN designer James Long has had his autumn/winter 2008-9 collection stolen. Some hours after the runway show, the thieves stole the whole collection! Imagine how he is feeling right now, especially seeing as it was a huge success and he must have been very stressed out being a young designer and all...poor thing.

Look at the colours on the cardigan and the blouse that looks like a baggy boustier: cool or what?

oh, the boots ! i love them.. do you think they will have them in the size of my small foot? And I love the gingham trousers and the black coat. (The black coat is totally Nate or Chuck from Gossip girl).

The right outfit is v.cool.

the weirdness i am looking for in the womanswear.

you're totally right with that black coat, I remember a similar one on Chuck in one of the last shows I've seen on the Internet. If i had a bf, I would force him to buy that one XD

your site is lovely.

I'm quite dissapointed on fall collections too =L, i've just seen three or four i can call "amazing"

On the other hand, man designs seem much more interesting! great advice ;)

Wow, some of its a bit over the top especially the big white jersey. I liked Yigal Azrouel's mens collection - nice casual layered looks.PS I've updated your link.

Just snooping around other blogs, this is a fun one!
Great post, this collection is all over the place, it's fab!
It's like nerd, urban, and artsy. I love the checkered sweater on the top row, and the matching pants and scarf. And I must say, high socks have never looked this good!

xo,

I actually never really gave a something to men fashion but they really rock this time.
the difference between the boys and the girls though is that you might be able to see the runway looks on the street in variations with the females but most men will stick to that jeans and shirts.

aren't male models supposed to be sexy?? they look soo food deprived, especially in the cheekbone region

i would wear some of those! tho i would never want a bf of mine to wear them lol

haha i can see what you're talking about. i was never attracted to menswear collections. what i like seeing is edgy but NOT weird costumes. i cannot bear all these coucou outfits for men! (yes i might be quite conservative concerning the way men dress!!)

I love boys in black and grey so the last two looks in the 3rd row are really working for me. I love the slightly sloppy trousers.
And I'd love to trade links, I'm glad you like the blog!

The entire line was stolen? That is shocking! The poor guy. At least he still has sketches to recreate, though. I love all this stuff. Very cool.

sheesh, I never understand why people do this..it's not like they can wear it afterwards without getting suspicious fashioistas noticing and handbag slapping them.

Glad you featured some of the menswear, it makes a refreshing change.

There are some cool pieces I think
But it's bad that the entire line was stolen, I can't imagine hwo angry and dsiappointed I would be if that would happen to me ...

I really like your picks!
Menswear is getting more and more exciting lately, and I like that. We can now find much more diversity than we used to, but there's still a long way to go.

Great post & blog!
